Image Sharing & Usage Terms

These terms explain how photographs, films, previews and downloaded files supplied or displayed by Hill Visuals may be shared and used. Any project-specific agreement, invoice, gallery licence or written permission takes priority where it grants different rights.

01

Copyright ownership

Unless Hill Visuals confirms otherwise in writing, copyright in photographs, films, edits, graphics and other creative work remains with Hill Visuals. Purchasing, downloading or receiving a file does not transfer copyright.

02

Personal and social-media sharing

Clients and authorised recipients may share delivered work for personal, non-commercial use where their booking, purchase or gallery licence permits it. Where practical, please credit Hill Visuals and link or tag the relevant official account. Social platforms may compress or alter files, and Hill Visuals is not responsible for changes made by those platforms.

03

Commercial and promotional use

Businesses, teams, organisers, sponsors, publications and other commercial users require an appropriate written licence before using Hill Visuals work in advertising, sponsorship, merchandise, press, websites, paid social media, broadcasts or other promotional material. Contact Hill Visuals if the intended use is not already covered by the project agreement.

04

Editing, filters and alterations

Work must not be materially edited, recoloured, cropped in a misleading way, have watermarks or credits removed, or be combined with generative content without written permission. Reasonable platform cropping for ordinary social-media display is permitted where it does not misrepresent the work.

05

Watermarked previews

Watermarked previews are provided for viewing, selection or proofing only. They must not be published, downloaded through unauthorised methods, have the watermark removed or be treated as a licensed final file.

06

Purchased and delivered downloads

Downloaded files are supplied under the licence shown at purchase or agreed for the project. Personal-use purchases do not include commercial publication, resale, sublicensing or distribution to third parties. Web-size and full-resolution files may have different intended uses.

07

Supplying files to third parties

Files may only be supplied to printers, designers, publications, sponsors or other third parties where the applicable licence allows it. The client is responsible for ensuring that any third party follows the same restrictions.

08

Artificial intelligence and automated training

Hill Visuals work must not be uploaded to, used to train, fine-tune, benchmark or develop artificial-intelligence systems, generative models, facial-recognition systems or image datasets without specific written permission.

09

Hill Visuals portfolio use

Unless a written agreement states otherwise, Hill Visuals may use suitable work for its portfolio, website, social media, competitions, exhibitions and self-promotion. Sensitive, private or restricted projects can be discussed before the booking is confirmed.

10

Removal and correction requests

If you believe an image has been used incorrectly, reveals sensitive information or should be reviewed for another genuine reason, contact support@hill-visuals.com with the page, image and reason for the request. Requests will be considered fairly, although removal may not always be required where lawful rights or contractual permissions apply.

11

Requesting a licence or permission

For commercial use, publication, sponsorship, press, merchandise or any use not clearly covered above, contact support@hill-visuals.com before using the work. Include the image, organisation, channels, territory, duration and intended audience.
